Lifetime Holidays Uganda3 Days Tsavo East and West Safari from Mombasa or Nairobi

This 3 Days Tsavo East and west takes you to Tsavo East, Kenya’s oldest national park and home to the country’s largest elephant herds and lion prides. The region was made famous due to a pair of male lions responsible for the deaths of many construction workers on the Kenya-Uganda railway—it was said to have killed 135 people. Tsavo West National Park offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world, and attractions include elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffalos, and diverse plant and bird species.

Day 1: Nairobi or Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park

We will pick you up from the airport or hotel after breakfast and drive via the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway for about 1-2 hours, depending on your specific pick-up point. At Tsavo East National Park, we will enter the park at the Bachuma gate. The park is noted for its vast elephant herds and a variety of game, including black rhinos, long-necked gerenuk, zebra and waterbuck, and crocodiles. The game drive starts immediately upon entering the park, so we can make most of the morning hours before we proceed for lunch at Red Elephant Safari Lodge. After lunch, relax as the climate and the weather in Tsavo is hot in the afternoon as you wait to go for the afternoon game drive between 2:30pm and 6:30pm. Finally, we will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tsavo East National Park to Tsavo West National Park

After an early breakfast on this day 2 of 3 Days Tsavo East and west, we depart for Tsavo West National Park and enjoy a game drive en route. We will arrive at Tsavo West National Park in time for lunch at Ngulia Safari Lodge. After lunch, we proceed for the afternoon game drive in the park, which will take you until 6:30pm. You will come across animals in the park, including herds of elephants, buffalos, ostriches, gazelle, impalas, giraffes, zebras, and their predators, including the big cats.

You can visit the rhino sanctuary before we return to Lake Jipe Camp for our dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tsavo West National Park to Mombasa or Nairobi

You embark on an early morning game drive as you are presented with the opportunity to watch predators on a hunting mission. After the early morning game drive, we will return to the lodge for a full breakfast. After breakfast, we will depart for Mombasa and visit Mzima Springs en route. At the Mzima Springs, there is an underground viewing platform to observe crocodiles, hippos, and the various fish underwater. Lunch will be at Voi or along the way as you head back to Mombasa. We will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport to catch your flight to your next destination.
